About The Film

Don Wimmer
![]() Don Wimmer | This guy JP made this documentary film about me and my training to be a pro skater. Pretty cool, I guess. I even got him to help me build a rad half-pipe... that didn't suck. But I'm not sure he knows what he's doing. Seems like he's taking forever to finish the thing. Anita Klugman
Anita Klugman | Artist, mother, creator, teacher. Anita spent a decade on an artist's commune. The results of that experience are many but the most significant and life altering to Anita was the birth of her son Jason. Anita realized early on that her son was special. She glows as she describes his ability to embrace life, his unique energy, and his unbridled curiosity. When asked about Jason’s father, whose identity has never been certain except that he... |
Jason Klugman
Jason Klugman | Anita’s son, artist, video game player. Jason loves skateboarding and spending time with Don. He likes to have someone living with them who is kind of like a dad, but doesn’t ever give him time-outs or try to kiss his mom. Jason was very excited when Don told him that they were going to build a half-pipe in the backyard. Jason says his goals for the future are to go to summer camp or maybe just camping, without his mom, not because he doesn’t love her, but because it would be nice to go to a camp where you get to wear clothes. |
Peggy Kennedy
![]() Peggy Kennedy | Peggy spends her days running the skate shop that she acquired in a divorce settlement. When asked if this was how she envisioned her life, she replied with a laugh, “I grew up in Malibu. Everyone surfed or skated, I tanned. My ex was a surfer who competed on the pro circuit. We traveled and had fun, but we eventually realized we wanted different things. I was ready to grow up, he wasn’t. |
