So you skate?
As title states, so you skate? If so, what type of skating. How long? What kind of set up/up's you riding, meaning who has your money, etc.
I've been skating 20+ years. The last 7 longboarding. Nowadays I mostly free ride, downhill and slide. I tend to favor boards from Earthwing out of NYC. My current "go to" board is an Earthwing Supercharger with Randal R-II 180 trucks, Abec 11/Silverfish 'Fishballs wheels with Bones Swiss bearings.
How bout' you?

Hey Superball.
You seem to know your way around a board...=)
Yeah, I've been skating for awhile, but still pretty new at it. I was considering buying a 6 ply Bustin Spliff.
Do you know anything about the quality of their boards?

30+ yrs skating here, but sometimes it feels like 90... in an old man, bad kinda way, y'know? Longboards definitely seem to be gettin more use than the others. Use swiss bearings too... the swisser the better...I like to say.

The Swisser the better...hehe. My thoughts exactly Don. I still ride a short board as well, but only for park skating and sliding. No more "street" skating for me. Feeling it too much at 32. Heh...
Riley, the Bustin Spliff is a sweet "short" longboard. The 6 ply is excellent if you're less than 150lbs. They are having a blemish sale right now with quite a few Spliffs ready to go for great prices. I suggest you hook it up with Paris trucks and either the 3DM wheels or the Abec 11 Retro ZigZag's. Good luck!

31 this summer!
Started 1977, still skating today. Had my 45th b'day at Blackpool skatepark in England with other friends from Middle Age Shred last summer.
Will try allsorts, street, pool, longboards, it's all fun.
Currently riding an Element deck, indies and coretechs.
Can only skate Fridays as every other day I'm either working or looking after kids.
Don Wimmer is my new hero as I've gone off Tom Cruise of late.
Yup, I skate (between
Yup, I skate (between injuries and illnesses!) Like Chris K (above) I'm a Middle Age Shred regular - in fact I hardly manage to skate between MAS jams...
I started skating in 1977 when I was just 7 yrs old and skated all the way through apart from during my BMX years in the mid 80's when skating went on the back-burner. Got fully back into skating when I met up with Matt and Rik Deacon and saw the Bones Brigade video.
Fast-forward 20 years and I'm still skating though less frequently as I'd like. My local bowl is in Arnold, Nottingham and I can be found there early on weekend mornings in the summer. I skate anything but am most comfortable on miniramps, doing freestyle, riding curbs, blocks, banks, etc.
I ride cheap blank decks, cheap wheels, decent trucks (Indies, Thunders, Ventures), typical popsickles around 7.5" wide. If I had more money to spare I might exercise some taste in decks and wheels but I have a mortgage and kids who take priority!
I skate too!
50 in April. Skated to work again today. Which is pretty gnarly as it's kind of winter here.
Been riding skateboards on and off since I was 8 years old.
Don Wimmer? I like your style. Props, dude.
skating.... work... skating... work... skating...at...work
yea, that I could live with.
Ride on, bro.

Skating Work? Somebody call my name?
Been blessed (until
Been blessed (until yesterday, snow!) with some good weather the last few weeks here in Jersey, so I've had some time to shake the rust off. Nothing is better than scoring some "stolen" session time in the dead of winter. Get this, I skated in shorts and a T-shirt one day even!

Seems to be a hard grind to break, any suggestions?

I have been skating for around 20 years, currently i am riding 7.75" skate paige blanks, im exclusive to Indy stage 9 trucks, my bearings are powell mini logo's, and a 53mm blank wheel. and i have a single playing card (joker's) between the bottom of both trucks and the board.
my preffered terrain is mini ramp from 3 to 6 foot.
good times.
